1. Specialize

One way you can set yourself apart from other sellers is to specialize. You can brand your auctions and yourself and your store to the specialty you pick. For example, instead of selling any and all ebooks on all different subjects, specialize in one niche like recipes. Only sell recipe books. Use a catchy name like the Recipe Kingdom, as an example and brand all your auctions, your about me page and your store all as Recipe Kingdom.

Develop an identity that will put you in a position to be the leader of your specialty niche. Whenever a buyer wants a recipe book, that buyer will think of Recipe Kingdom.

2. Niche Packages

Another idea to increase profits with ebooks is to create niche packages. You may bundle 5 books together all related to beauty secrets. You create another bundle of home repair books. Another bundle can be marketing books. You will be able to target to a narrower audience. The fact that it is a bundle will provide a higher perceived value and you will be able to get more for your bundle.

3. Super Niche Packages

You can take the niche bundles even one step further. Instead of bundling recipe books together, you bundle chocolate recipe books together. You market that as your "Chocolate Collection". You can certainly realize higher bids for your "Chocolate Collection" than you can for just a bundle of recipe books. Creating the sub niche and adding a special name to the collection once again adds value thereby resulting in higher bids.

4. Break ebooks into reports and sell the reports as a collection.

For example, if you have a book on Search Engine Optimization you can break it into a few reports. One could be "How To optimize your website", another could be "How to get backlinks to increase your search engine optimization" a third could be "Use articles to increase your Search Engine Results" and a fourth "How blogs can help your SEO". Now you can sell this as the SEO Collection. Now it is 4 reports you are selling. It is a collection. Once again, a much higher perceived value than a single ebook, even though you created it from one book.

5. Multiple for 1 sales

Many sellers may sell multiple books in single auctions. But not many of them market that as a 3 for 1 sale. You can run 3 for 1, 5 for 1, and even 10 for 1 sales. Market your auction as a multiple sale for the price of one. You can get a higher price for the multiple for 1 because the consumer knows how much he is getting for free.
